Another great book for this list would be “Rosie’s Family: An Adoption Story” by Lori Rosove. Aimed for 5-year olds or so, it describes our family exactly – with a biological child and an adopted child of a different race. I love how it openly talks through the adoptee’s perspective and feelings.
